POLLINATIONTECH OPEN / SOURCE ADAPTERS

Normalize the source.
Keep the provenance.

PollinationTech Open is designed to ingest data without erasing where it came from. Adapters map external records into a common envelope while preserving original source identity, attribution, licensing notes, and source links.

SOURCE 01

USA National Phenology Network

USA-NPN exposes observational phenology data through programmatic APIs and distributes gridded phenology products through GeoServer. Its daily AGDD products are available at 4 km resolution and use January 1 accumulation with 32°F and 50°F base products.

HOW THE ADAPTER WORKS
01SOURCE RECORD

USA-NPN observation or AGDD value.

02NORMALIZE

Map source fields into PollinationTech Open.

03VALIDATE

Run JSON Schema v0.2.0 validation.

04PRESERVE

Keep source URI, attribution, and source record identifier.

NORMALIZED EXAMPLES

Inspect the output.

USA-NPN Observation JSON → USA-NPN AGDD JSON →
AUTOMATED INGESTION

Scheduled, deduplicated, attributable.

DAILYAGDD POINT IMPORT

Queries selected USA-NPN AGDD points and inserts only unseen deterministic record IDs.

OPTIONALOBSERVATION FEED

A configured USA-NPN observational/export URL can be normalized on the same schedule.

DATABASESYNC HISTORY

Each run stores status, fetched, inserted, skipped and errors.

EXPLORERSOURCE BADGE

USA-NPN records are visibly labeled in the public explorer.
